Enjoyed a 16-year career on The European Tour with a best Order of Merit placing of 34th in 1980, helped by a career-high joint second place finish in the Braun German Open.

Finished in the top 100 on the Order of Merit in 14 of those 16 seasons and joined the Senior Tour after turning 50 on Christmas Day 2004.

A solid debut season saw him finish 30th on the 2005 Order of Merit, with his best results being second at the Nigel Mansell Sunseeker International Classic, but slipped to 74th in 2007 and 80th last season when his best performance was tied 24th in the Irish Seniors Open.
