Joined compatriot Archie Takamatsu in securing a conditional card at the Qualifying School in Portugal. A closing round of 69 moved the man from Osaka into a tie for the last card and he claimed 14th position on a card count-back. Has won six times on the Japan Golf Tour, including the Japan Open in 1993.
