Turned professional in 2018 and earned playing rights on the PGA TOUR after finishing 2019 as the leading player on the Korn Ferry Tour. Named the 2020 Rookie of the Year on the PGA TOUR after finishing fifth in the FedEx Cup standings.

Moved into the top 20 on the OWGR for the first time after finishing third at The Memorial Tournament in 2021 and would earn a Captain’s Pick for the rescheduled 2020 Ryder Cup at Whistling Straits later that year, finishing with a 2-0-1 record, which included a win against Jon Rahm in the Sunday singles.

Recorded four runner-up finishes on the PGA TOUR across the 2020 and 2021 seasons before winning his first PGA TOUR title at the 2022 WM Phoenix Open, the first of four victories in the space of just six starts. The following month he won the Arnold Palmer Invitational and then reached the rank of World Number One after defeating Kevin Kisner 4&3 in the final of the WGC-Dell Technologies Match Play.

His first Major Championship victory came at the Masters Tournament in April 2022, joining Ian Woosnam, Fred Couples, Tiger Woods and Dustin Johnson as players who entered the tournament ranked Number One in the world to go on and win the coveted Green Jacket.

Scheffler set a new record for the fewest days between a first PGA TOUR title and reaching World Number One, needing just 42 days compared to Tiger Woods’ 252. He also took just six weeks to reach World Number One after breaking into the top ten for the first time.

Won twice in 2023, including THE PLAYERS Championship as he remained at the top of the Official World Golf Ranking.

Defended THE PLAYERS Championship at TPC Sawgrass in 2024 a month before winning his second Masters Tournament. Claimed his first FedEx Cup that season as he recorded seven victories on the PGA TOUR. Also won Gold in the Men’s Olympic Golf Competition in Paris, finishing one stroke ahead of Tommy Fleetwood at Le Golf National.
