First took up golf aged ten after being introduced to the game by his grandfather. Went to the University of Arizona in America, but returned home to Madrid a year later to complete his degree in marketing and commercial management.

Secured his first Challenge Tour victory in 2017 at the Rolex Trophy and graduated to the European Tour that season after finishing inside the top 15 in the Order of Merit.

The Spaniard's sporting heroes are Rafael Nadal and Fernando Alonso, and he also enjoys hunting in his spare time
