Born in the Philippines, he won events in Malaysia and Singapore as an amateur and the Silver Medal at the 2010 Asian Games.

He won his national Open on the Asian Tour in 2015 and finished tied second in his best performance to date on the European Tour at the 2016 Maybank Championship.
