Holds the record for the lowest four-round performance by any player on the US Tour when he won the Hawaiian Open in 1998 with a 28 under par total of 260 (63-65-66-66). Sister, Julie, caddied for him. Shared first round lead in Open Championship at Royal Birkdale that season with a 65. Eventually finished tied tenth. Suffered severe inflammation of the left shoulder joint in 1997 and sleeps on a magnetic mattress cover and wears magnets in soles of shoes for relief.
