He finished tenth on that season's Order of Merit but has since dropped further down in each successive season, from 29th, to 58th, to 70th and to 95th in 2001, his best finish last season coming when he shared 36th place at the Palmerston Trophy Berlin. Ian runs a successful golf travel company, Flying Golfer Holidays, but will put that on hold to concentrate on his European Seniors Tour career. His son, Carl, made it through to the 2001 Challenge Tour, but did not earn a card.
