Secured a European Tour card for the first time at the 2010 Qualifying School following 15 previously unsuccessful attempts. Came heartbreakingly close to graduating in 2009 but bogeyed the closing two holes to miss out by a single stroke. Banished that memory by finishing tied sixth in Spain. Grew up watching his older brother Gerry play the game as a professional in the northern region before taking up an Assistant Professional job at St Pierre aged 19. Born in Southport, England, but transferred his allegiance to Wales after winning the Welsh Professionals Championship in 1998. Youngest of seven siblings, follows boxing and football, supporting Liverpool FC. Has his two children’s names – Daisy and Oscar – written on his golf balls.
