    Started to focus on golf at the age of 17 after growing up playing his favourite sport, shinty. Between the ages of 13 and 17 played for his local club, Oban Camanachd in his native Scotland.

    Enjoyed a fine amateur career by becoming the first player to win the Scottish Youths’ Championship and Scottish Boys’ Open Strokeplay Championship in the same year. Represented Great Britain and Ireland in the 2017 Walker Cup where he beat rising star Cameron Champ 6&4 in the singles.

    Shone in his maiden season as a professional by finishing inside the top 15 of the Challenge Tour Rankings in 2018 to earn a DP World Tour card.

    Burst onto the scene in 2019 as he finished 11th on the Race to Dubai and picked up the Sir Henry Cotton Rookie of the Year award after a season that included three runner-up finishes and a tie for sixth place in his Major Championship debut at The Open. Secured his first DP World Tour win the following season at the 2020 Aphrodite Hills Cyprus Showdown.

    Won his second DP World Tour title in 2022 at the DS Automobiles Italian Open at Marco Simone Golf & Country Club, the same venue which would host the Ryder Cup a year later.

    Earned an automatic place on Luke Donald’s side for the 2023 Ryder Cup after finishing third on the European Points List. Went undefeated as a rookie in Italy earning two and a half points from three matches.

    Finished 13th on the 2023 Race to Dubai Rankings earning dual-member status on the PGA TOUR for 2024. Claimed an emotional maiden PGA TOUR title at the RBC Canadian Open, winning by one stroke at Hamilton Golf & Country Club with his father Dougie as his caddie for the week.

    Won his first Rolex Series title and second PGA TOUR title at the 2024 Genesis Scottish Open, becoming the first Scotsman to win the event since Colin Montgomerie 25 years prior.
