The DP World Tour's opening event of the new year sees players from Great Britain & Ireland and Continental Europe contest the Team Cup in Abu Dhabi.
After a short break in the Race to Dubai schedule over the festive period, the action resumes with the return of the Ryder Cup-style matchplay contest, formerly known as the Hero Cup, at the Abu Dhabi Golf Resort's National Course from 10-12 January.
Francesco Molinari led Continental Europe to victory in the inaugural edition in 2023 and is again their playing captain, with fellow Major champion Justin Rose taking on the role for Great Britain & Ireland for the first time.
The pair are taking charge of ten-strong teams made up of the leading four available Continental European and Great Britain & Ireland members from the final 2024 Race to Dubai Rankings, plus five picks.
Among those who will also compete across the three days in the United Arab Emirates are Danish duo Nicolai Højgaard and Thorbjørn Olesen, along with English pair Tommy Fleetwood and Tyrrell Hatton.
Some of European golf’s brightest emerging talents are teeing it up too, including dual DP World Tour and PGA TOUR members Tom McKibbin and Niklas Nørgaard.
Luke Donald, who will Captain Europe at the Ryder Cup for a second time at Bethpage Black in September, will oversee the event.
European Tour Productions, the DP World Tour’s in-house production company, will produce and distribute live coverage of the Team Cup.
