Jason Palmer rounded off a wire-to-wire victory at the Foshan Open with an impressive round of 69 to win by a stroke from compatriot Ben Evans and claim a career-changing first European Challenge Tour title.
This week's host venue might only be two years old, but Foshan Golf Club has already garnered plenty of plaudits, a fact that satisfies its designer – Tony Cashmore – no end.
Overnight leader Jason Palmer will take a one shot advantage into the final round of the Foshan Open after four birdies and a bogey saw him post a 69 on a typically humid afternoon in Southern China.
This might only be the second instalment of the Foshan Open but the tournament is already making waves both on and off the golf course.
