Woods is a 41-time European Tour winner and is third in the list for the Most Official European Tour wins behind Seve Ballesteros (50) and Bernhard Langer (42).

Claimed the first of his 15 Major Championship wins in 1997, when he won the Masters Tournament by a record 12 strokes. His score of 270 was also a record, as was his age at the time – 21 years, three months and 15 days.

Held the World Number One spot for 281 consecutive weeks before Lee Westwood took over that mantle in November 2010. In 2000 he won the U.S. Open by a record 15 strokes, the Open Championship at St Andrews by eight shots and then added the US PGA Championship. In winning the 2001 Masters for the second time he became the first player in history to hold all four Majors at once.

A child prodigy, he shot 48 for nine holes aged three and was nicknamed ‘Tiger’ after the Vietnamese soldier friend of his father and mentor, Earl, who died in May 2006. Named PGA TOUR Player of the Year a record 11 times with 80 PGA TOUR titles to his name.
