Was introduced to the game by his brother at the age of nine. Did not make his way in to the national side until he was 16, and then went on to become a national champion in his native Finland on two occasions.
Says his earliest golfing memory was making a hole in one at the age of 12 – holing out from 164 yards with a five iron.
