His career was inspired by his father’s role as a greenkeeper at Calcutta Golf Club - aged ten, he used to practise by sneaking onto the historic course, believed to be the oldest outside Britain.
He subsequently became a caddie, before embarking on a career which now sees him divide his time between Europe and Asia.
His initials stand for Shiv Sankar Prasad, although he is known as S.S.P.
