Was the first amateur golfer to be officially ranked World Number One when the R&A released the first rankings in 2007. Won twice on the Challenge Tour before graduating at the end of 2008.

Had to wait just a year for his first victory, winning the South African Open, the second event of the 2010 Race to Dubai, which took place in December 2009, defeating Shiv Kapur in a play-off.

Won the 2012 Omega European Masters and 2015 Trophée Hassan II and had to wait seven years before returning to the winner’s circle as he triumphed at the 2022 Cazoo Classic at Hillside.

Away from golf, he has studied at the University of Stirling after spending time in Texas on a golf scholarship, graduating with a BA Hons in Marketing and Sports Studies.

Born and bred in Aberdeen, he has been playing golf since the age of three.
