    Won his maiden European Tour title at the 2009 Austrian Golf Open. Moved in to the Top 100 in on the OWGR for the first time in his career after winning the 2012 Omega Dubai Desert Classic. Won his first Rolex Series title at the 2017 Aberdeen Asset Management Scottish Open, beating Callum Shinkwin in a play-off.

    Fulfilled a childhood ambition in 2021, winning the Acciona Open de España presented by Madrid, defeating compatriot Adri Arnaus in a play-off in the Spanish capital.

    Made his Ryder Cup debut for Team Europe in 2016, emerging undefeated from his three matches.

    Claimed the Spanish National Championship every year from Under-7 to Under-18 level after taking the game up at the age of six.

    Studied business, economics and business law at university, but still has to complete his degree after his studies were interrupted by his rise through the professional golfing ranks.

    Sister Emma was also a professional golfer on the Ladies European Tour, while his brother Miguel has played on the Challenge Tour.

    Owns a house in Bali, where he loves to spend time surfing.
