One of the most consistent players on the Staysure Tour. Fowler made the top 100 on the European Tour Order of Merit every year from 1983 to 1993 and won the World Cup for Australia in 1989 in partnership with Wayne Grady. He joined the European Senior Tour in 2009 and made his debut at La Moye Golf Club - the same venue where he made his first appearance on the European Tour some 26 years earlier.

Won the John Jacobs Trophy in 2011 after two victories, three runner-up finishes and two third place finishes and stayed inside the top five on the Order of Merit in four of the following five seasons.

Won his seventh Staysure Tour title at the 2019 MCB Tour Championship- Seychelles.
