Turned professional in 1985 but opted for a career as a club professional rather than attempting a touring career.

Won the European Club Professionals Championship in 2002 and the Glenmuir Club Professionals Championship in 2006.

Spent five years preparing for the Senior Tour and claimed the second card at Qualifying School with an impressive performance at Pestana Golf Resort.

Earned the title of Rookie of the Year in 2012 before claiming the John Jacobs Trophy the following season, topping the Order of Merit after winning four times, pipping Steen Tinning to the title with victory at the MCB Tour Championship.
