    2007* Qualifying School

Won his first European Tour title on his 200th start at the 2018 Nordea Masters, having competed on the European Tour since 2008 after qualifying at his first attempt at Qualifying School in 2007.

Comes from a sporting family, his mother Gill swam for England and his cousin Matthew Smith is a former professional tennis player.

The Englishman enjoyed a sparkling amateur career including winning the 2005 English Amateur Championship and captaining his nation in the Home Internationals.

Made six appearances on the Challenge Tour in 2007 but secured his DP World Tour card for 2008 after making it through Qualifying School at the first attempt.

Had his highest finish on Tour in 2017 when he was runner-up at the Joburg Open, but the following year on his 200th start he claimed his maiden title at the Nordea Masters after beating Thomas Aiken in a play-off.

Waited more than six years for his second victory as he claimed his first Rolex Series title at the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship, finishing two strokes ahead of Tyrrell Hatton and beating the likes of Rory McIlroy and Tommy Fleetwood to the famous Falcon Trophy.

His victory in Abu Dhabi helped him to a career-high fifth-placed finish on the Race to Dubai Rankings and also earned him dual membership on the PGA TOUR for 2025.
