Comeback was complete when tied second behind Lee Westwood in the English Open.
Missed the first four months of the 1999 season due to a shoulder problem and only played intermittently in 2000 after receiving a medical exemption for three tournaments.
Went back to Qualifying School and captured 22nd card to regain his playing rights.
Finally enjoyed an injury free season in 2001.
