Experienced a roller coaster of emotions on the final day of the Qualifying School Final Stage in 2015, carding three bogeys in the final six holes to finish on seven under par. Thought he had fallen just short of earning a European Tour card until he returned to his hotel room to find his friend and fellow Italian Edoardo Molinari, who had also finished on seven under, waiting to start the celebrations, informing him that they had made it on the mark. Cites the elder of the Molinari brothers as one of his chief inspirations, and benefitted from his advice during the Qualifying School. Was introduced to the game by his brother Sebastiano at the age of ten at Golf Club Rapallo, near his home in Genoa. Enjoys classic rock and punk music, and Dire Straits are his favourite band. Spent three years on the Challenge Tour and was ready to give up to game to explore other career options shortly before his Qualifying School success.
