First took up golf after playing in a father and son competition at the age of four in his native Chile.

Began to take golf more seriously at the age of 12, where after travelling to San Diego for an international junior competition he finished in fifth place despite having his clubs stolen that morning.

Turned professional in 2009 but did not start competing in Europe until 2015 when he joined the Challenge Tour.

Earned a debut season on the European Tour in 2017 after finishing inside the top 25 at Qualifying School Final Stage.
