Started golf at the age of three under the influence of his father, a professional in the 1960’s. Now coached by David Thomson, professional at Skibo Castle. Scottish Boys Champion in 1988, Murray has represented Scotland at boys, youths and senior level. Has won one regional event in Scotland since turning professional in 1997. Earned his place on The European Tour through the Qualifying School at his third attempt, claiming the 36th card. Second cousin to Mike Stewart, The European Tour’s Senior Referee and Qualifying School Director.
