After coming through 2006 Qualifying School, he secured his maiden European Challenge Tour win in February when he took the Kai Fieberg Costa Rica Open and a first prize of €21,604, his biggest pay cheque to date. His record Challenge Tour low score is 63 (-7) which he shot at the Ireland Ryder Cup Challenge in 2006. That season, the Argentine finished 83rd on the European Challenge Tour Rankings, after previously finishing 75th in 2005. His best European Tour performance was a tied 95th placing in the 2001 Open de Argentina.
