Completed his fifth full season on the European Tour in 2019 in a campaign highlighted by his runner-up finish to Victor Perez at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship.

Provided one of the stories of 2015, coming through all three stages of Qualifying School to regain his card after surgery for testicular cancer just months earlier.

Finished fourth in the 2016 Dubai Duty Free Irish Open hosted by the Rory Foundation, which he bettered the following season by finishing as a joint runner-up in the same event.

Began playing golf aged just two thanks to his ‘mad-keen’ dad, and watching videos of the late, great Spaniard Seve Ballesteros winning The Open Championship at St Andrews in 1984.

Briefly attended college in Illinois but suffered from homesickness and returned to Europe. Turned professional at the end of 2010 and played on the Challenge Tour, where he returned in 2014 and 2015 after losing his card.
