Picked up golf almost by chance when a skiing accident at age 11 left him with a broken left leg. His garden backed on to a golf course, and while he was away from the pistes recovering he hit golf balls to keep himself amused. Joined Torino Golf Club La Mandria aged 16, the same club as the Molinari brothers, and credits Edoardo in particular with helping his development in the last two years. Enjoyed an excellent record on the Alps Tour in 2010 before stepping up to the Challenge Tour. Breakthrough win came in 2015 when he won the EMC Challenge Open on that Tour. Should have taken his pilot’s licence exam the weekend after the 2012 Qualifying School Final Stage, but had to reschedule it after taking the 14th card at PGA Catalunya Resort.
