Parents were farmers. Had to tend to the hay before cycling to golf course at Orebro. Turned pro aged 19 and made six visits to the Qualifying School. Twice successful but lost card and had to regain it in 1994 through finishing seventh in Challenge Tour. Parents finally saw him play for the first time in the 1997 Volvo Scandianvian Masters.
