Coached by Alan Barber at The Windlesham Golf School near Wentworth Club, also a member of Brockenhurst Golf Club where he met and took inspiration from The European Tour's founding father, and first ever Chief Executive, John Jacobs. Finished the 2003 Challenge Tour season with two victories and nine top ten finishes in total. Secured his maiden professional victory in his first appearance of 2003 on the Challenge Tour by winning a play-off for the Tessali Metaponto Open de Puglia e Basilicata in Italy. His other win came in the Clearstream International Luxembourg Open. Spent 2002 on a third level tour in the UK before exploding onto the Challenge Tour to finish second with €88,643.
