    Popert, who was diagnosed with a form of cerebral palsy called Spastic diplegia that affects his lower body, carded a bogey-free final round of 66 to win the EDGA Hero Open at Fairmont St Andrews, the third event of the 2021 EDGA season. The victory propelled him to World Number One on the World Ranking for Golfers with Disability (WR4GD).

    The Englishman, who has a degree in applied golf management from the University of Birmingham, finished a tie for third at the 2021 season finale in Dubai.

    He won the inaugural G4D Tour event - G4D @ Betfred British Masters hosted by Danny Willett - in May 2022 and followed it up with three more wins in the Tour's first season.
