Did not play frequently on The European Tour in 2007 but kept his playing privileges for the 2008 season by virtue of his win in the 2006 Johnnie Walker Classic in Australia. Also won twice on the 2006 Nationwide Tour in the United States on his way to finishing 12th on that money list to regain his US PGA Tour card, leaving him with no shortage of playing opportunities for 2007 as he was exempt on four Tours. As a result, played most of 2007 on the US PGA Tour and ended the year making just enough money in the final event – the Children’s Miracle Network Classic – to finish in the top 125 and keep his card, moving from 127th to 124th place. Won his first start of the season on the 2004 Nationwide Tour at the Lake Erie Charity Classic just as his father, former Masters Champion Craig, won the Champions Tour's Bank of America Championship in Massachusetts, making the father-son duo the first to accomplish such a feat since Bob Duval won the Emerald Coast Classic on March 28, 1999, the same day his son David won The Players Championship.
