First qualified for the Challenge Tour in 2011 but failed to retain his card and spent two years trying his luck in America. Had to borrow money from his par ents to get a flight home, then went on to play on the satellite Alps Tour where he won the final event by one shot to earn a Challenge Tour card for the 2016 season by just €4.

When not walking the fairways he is thinking about how to build them, and works with golf course architects in his native Netherlands in his spare time.
