Comes from a family with a rich sporting pedigree: his grandfather was a fencing world champion; his grandmother played basketball for France; his mother played basketball in the French First Division; and his father played football in the French Second Division.

First took up golf at primary school and soon got down to scratch, enjoying a superb amateur career which culminated his victory at the 2006 Amateur Championship. He turned professional after competing in the 2007 Masters Tournament.

Won as an amateur on the Alps Tour in 2007 and won his second title the following year as he finished third on its Order of Merit to graduate to the Challenge Tour.

Earned his DP World Tour card for 2010 and 2012 but was unable to maintain his status in both years.

Remained on the Challenge Tour and won his first title on home soil at the 2017 Hauts de France Golf Open, en route to graduating to the European Tour by finishing sixth in the Road to Ras Al Khaimah.

Finished 86th on the 2018 Race to Dubai Rankings but missed most of the following season through injury.

Maintained playing rights since making his comeback but had to wait until his 230th start before winning his maiden DP World Tour title at the Estrella Damm N.A. Andalucía Masters, defeating Spaniard Jorge Campillo in a Tour record-equalling nine hole play-off.
