One of the most successful players in Columbia for the past 25 years, he won a conditional card to the 2007 European Senior Tour at the first attempt. Played in all six rounds, finishing tied ninth in the First Stage Qualifier at Quinta de Cima before claiming the 16th ranked card at Pestana Golf Resort with rounds of 74-70-70-71. As an amateur, he was ranked Number One in Columbia until turning professional at the age of 26. Topped the national professional rankings for three consecutive years from 1989 and finished as the country’s leading Senior player in 2006 thanks to seven tournament victories. Represented Columbia in the World Cups of 1989, 1990 and 1991. In addition to his playing and teaching commitments works as a sales agent for PING.
