Enjoyed a long and successful career on The European Tour, winning seven times during the 1970s and 1980s. One of the high points was finishing runner-up to Seve Ballesteros in the 1977 Order of Merit after winning that year’s PGA Match Play Championship. Has also amassed 11 titles on the South African Tour, topping the Order of Merit in 1974 and 1979, and remains one of the country’s finest players. Made four appearances on the European Senior Tour in 1996 and earned enough money to finish 26th on the Order of Merit, thanks in large part to his third-place finish at the Belfry PGA Seniors Championship. In more recent years he has made limited appearances on The Sunshine Tour.
