He became just the second Japanese winner in European Tour history at the WGC-HSBC Champions in 2016 before adding a second World Golf Championship at the 2017 Bridgestone Invitational.
Made history in 2021, becoming the first male Japanese Major Champion by winning the Masters Tournament - ten years after finishing low amateur on his debut at Augusta National.
Represented the International Team in the Presidents Cup in 2013, 2015, 2017 and 2019.
