Playoffs didn’t work kindly in 1997 for Heinz Peter. He was involved in two, each lasting two holes, and lost both, to Michele Reale in the Sovereign Russian Open in Moscow and the Greg Chalmers in the Challenge Tour Championship at East Sussex National. Nevertheless, Heinz Peter finished 12th in the rankings and therefore avoided making his 15th visit to the Qualifying School.
