Gunner turned professional in 2011 after a stellar college career at the University of San Diego.

During those four years he played in the U.S. Amateur and qualified for his first PGA Tour event, the Farmers Insurance Open in 2010. That same year he was named the Colorado Golf Association’s Player of the Year and was the Amateur Star of the Year by the San Diego Hall of Champions.

He played on various tours as a young professional and then spent time away from the game due to injury. Over the past year he’s played in events on the PGA Tour, DP World Tour and Korn Ferry Tour. He earned his DP World Tour card for 2023 by advancing through all three stages of Q-School and during his rookie season on that tour he tied for second place at the British Masters, moved up a category and has full status there in 2024.

Gunner is the son of Mark Wiebe, who has won twice on the PGA Tour and five times on PGA Tour Champions. Gunner has caddied for his father in the Senior Open Championship and the Senior U.S. Open.
