Known for his unique swing style, Darcy is one of Ireland's most successful golfers. He joined the European Tour in 1972, winning four tournaments. Darcy enjoyed his best years in 1975 and 1976 when he finished third and second on the Order of Merit. Represented Europe four times in The Ryder Cup and holed the winning putt in 1987, defeating Ben Crenshaw in the singles, securing his side's first ever victory on American soil.
