    Became the youngest winner ever in the history of the European Challenge Tour with a three shot wire to wire victory in the GANT Open 2015 in his first professional season. As an amateur, had successes in European Tour events with a top 40 finish at the Nelson Mandela Championship in 2012 and a creditable 16th place finish at the Commercial Bank Qatar Masters in January 2014. Started playing golf at age of three, a scratch golfer at the age of 12 and reached a lowest handicap of plus 6.4 at age of 15. An impressive amateur career, contained many national and international victories, notably at age 14 the German Men's Matchplay Championship, the German Junior and the German International Boys Championships. Represented Europe in team events including the Junior Ryder Cup, Jacques Leglise Trophy and Sir Michael Bonallack Trophy. Was selected in 2014 for the Eisenhower Trophy, Junior Ryder Cup and St. Andrews Links Trophy before he made the decision to turn professional on his 17th birthday in 2014. In his final three years as an amateur, he was the lowest ranked player for his age group in the official world rankings and was the youngest winner of the Audi Generation Award in Sport.
