His first coaches were Steve Mahr and Nigel Griffith, later Klaus-Peter Vollrath. In 2004 he changed from Krefeld to Duesseldorf, and for the first two years of his professional career (2005/2006) he played EPD Tour before embarking on his first year on the Challenge Tour in 2007. After a successful 2008 season on the EPD Tour, he qualified for the Final Stage of the Tour School in PGA Catalunya and after he missed out by just one shot, he is competing again on the European Challenge Tour.
