Hobbies include cricket and joins a growing band of Australian players who enjoy sports car racing, including Richard Green and Wade Ormsby. Cites his parents as biggest influence upon his career. Current coach is Denis McDade, a teacher at the Victorian Institute of Sport. Attended the Australian Institute of Sport on a golf scholarship.
