It was the icing on the cake in a season in which he won for the first time on the Challenge Tour, capturing the Skandia PGA Open. Took up the game at the age of 11 when a new course was built near his home but became inspired to take up the game professionally after watching Seve Ballesteros win the Open de France at La Boulie in 1986. Coached by Patrice Amadieu, who also works with Raphael Jacquelin.
