Ended the year well with his second consecutive second place finish in the Tour Championship before making his debut for the United States in The Presidents Cup contest in South Africa.

Indeed a career in golf seemed assured at an early age for the man who grew up a stone's throw from Augusta National Golf Club, home of the Masters Tournament. Shot his first sub 70 round at the age of ten - the same age at which he began taking lessons from coach David Leadbetter.
Leading amateur in the US, turned professional in 2000 and made the cut in seven of first 11 events on the US PGA Tour after being granted Special Temporary Member status. Became Rookie of the Year in 2001 and is a member of Augusta Country Club, which borders the famous 'Amen Corner' stretch of Augusta National.
