His uncle Sveinn Arsalsson was the first National Champion of Iceland.
Fell in the love with golf upon taking it up with a group of friends when he was 12, and to this day has a huge respect for the traditions and the nature of golf. Coached by Andres Davidsson and supported by Team Iceland, who educate their players on fitness and the mental approach to the game.
Won his place on The European Tour via the 2006 Qualifying School – Final Stage, where he took the 25th card. Suffered a frustrating season in 2007 when he was unable to improve on his best finish of 11th at the Telecom Italia Open but kept won his card once again at Tour School, where he finished in 12th place.
