    Was the first Chinese player to win on home soil in a European Tour event when he captured the 2015 Volvo China Open. Since his maiden triumph, he has collected wins at the 2016 Lyoness Open and the 2018 KLM Open, which made him the first Chinese player to win three times on the European Tour.

    Returned to the winner's circle after a three and a half year absence, winning his fourth title at the 2022 Magical Kenya Open presented by Absa.

    Has been a trailblazer for Chinese golf, as he was also the first Chinese player to win on the Japan Golf Tour, before progressing to the Asian Tour.

    Did not start playing golf until he was 17 and learned the game from his brother, a single-digit handicapper.

    Loves basketball and was a strong player in high school, but felt he was not tall enough to compete seriously.
