Son of a former Olympic Ski-Jumping champion, he followed in his father’s footsteps before turning to golf. Won two tournaments on the ‘97 Challenge Tour, the Alianca UAP Challenge in Portugal after surviving a three-way playoff, and the Rolex Trophy Pro-Am in Switzerland. He would have made it three but lost a playoff with Knud Storgaard in the opening event, the Ivory Coast Open. Finished fifth on the ranking.
