Comes from a golf-mad family, and can call upon any of ten immediate relatives for a practice round in his home town of Gijon, including the uncles who introduced him to the game aged 14. If he is not playing golf with his family when taking a break from the Tour, he will be found on the north coast fishing for sea bass, his passion outside of golf.

Secured his European Tour card for 2011 at the 2010 Qualifying School Final Stage. Familiar with the Qualifying School as he won the last available card in 2008, the same year he finished tied fourth at the Open de España.

Earned a return to the DP World Tour for 2022 after finishing sixth on the Road to Mallorca Rankings. Won his first Challenge Tour title in thrilling fashion at the B-NL Challenge, birdieing the seventh hole of a four-man play-off to claim victory.
