Born in Paris to golf-playing parents, he took up the game aged 11 and enjoyed a good amateur career, winning the Portuguese Amateur Open Championship in 2006 before turning professional in 2007. Played on the Challenge Tour between 2008 and 2011, his best finish coming at the 2011 Allianz Open Côtes d’Amor – Bretagne where he was third. Reached the Final Stage of The European Tour Qualifying School in 2006, 2009 and 2010 without success, before taking the 19th card in 2011 to secure his playing rights for 2012. Enjoys music and all sports, particularly snooker, and says his father and his coach have had the biggest influence on his career.
