Finished tied eight in the Russian Seniors Open in one of his six appearances in 2008. Fun-loving South African rediscovered some of his best form towards the end of the 2006 season, with a share of tenth place in difficult conditions at The Midas Group English Seniors Open and a share of 13th in torrential rain at the Estoril Senior Open of Portugal. Those results, however, were not enough to prevent a trip to the Qualifying School, where he missed out in a play-off for a fully exempt card. Found some consistency in 2007, registering three top 20 finishes. Won the 1991 Bushveld Classic in his homeland and amassed almost 400,000 rand during ten seasons on the Sunshine Tour. Warmed up for the 2003 European Senior Tour Qualifying School by teaming up with Scotland’s Andrew Coltart to finish third in the Nelson Mandela Invitational at Arabella Golf Club in South Africa.
