Grew up in Oregon, went to college at Oregon State and turned professional in 2012.

After stints on the Canadian Tour and Asian Tour, he won his first European Tour event under conditional status as he held off the challenge of defending champion Thomas Pieters to claim the title at the 2016 D+D REAL Czech Masters.

Playing in just his 23rd European Tour event, he was just the seventh left-hander to win in Tour history. Enjoys drinking craft beer when relaxing away from the course.
